Social Inequalities in the Risk and Aftermath of Miscarriage (SOC-MISC)

While miscarriage is a common experience, relatively little is known about it from a research perspective. This project aims to fill in this gap by focusing on four key concepts:

  1. Reviewing the quantitative methodologies used to study miscarriage.
  2. Examining whether there are social inequalities in the risk of experiencing a miscarriage.
  3. Studying social inequalities in the physical and mental health consequences of miscarriage.
  4. Comparing these results between three countries: Finland, France and the United Kingdom.
